Ebenezer Church and Cemetery

Ebenezer Church - A log Church was built on this site sometime before 1795. It was replaced by the stone church seen here today in 1803. It was a Presbyteri an Church organized by the Rev. Adam Rankin. The land on which the church was built was donated by Ephriam January.

Ebenezer Cemetery - Some of the earliest settlers to this county are buried here. There are quite a number of Revolution ary Soldiers buried in this church lot. We know of at least three, Robert Black, Peter January, and Ephraim January. The above mention Robert Black was the son of John Black, one of the earliest settlers in Jessamine County. Black's Station was named for him. I am almost sure he is buried here also.
