This is also sometimes called Tapp's Cave. Although many
caves throughout Kentucky are claimed to have been lived in by the old
hunter Daniel Boone, very little evidence can be found that he lived in
any of them. That is with the exception of this one. Lisle C. Draper, historian,
spent much of his life researching the life of Daniel Boone. He became
very interested in this cave, possibly from the stories he had been told
about it. Draper wrote several people in Jessamine county inquiring of
the location of the cave. He called it a Rockhouse. No one could tell him
anything about it. |
